Infant Development Lab

Baby Banner Blue

Parent Information

Our studies are quite brief and straightforward. In an infant study we have the baby sit on your lap while watching one or two television screens. At least one lab worker will be monitoring the looking time to each television screen. If at any time the baby becomes fussy or frightened we will automatically discontinue the study. It is more important to us to keep the babies happy and comfortable than it is to complete a study.

If you have other children that you need to bring along with you we have toys and games to keep them occupied while you and your infant participate in the study.  The studies are brief, usually lasting a total of 20 minutes. We have parking conveniently located right outside our building to make it easier for parents to participate.
